New Nissan Vans Used Nissan Vans Nissan van aftersales Established in 1933, Nissan has become a firm favourite among Britain's van drivers, with vehicles well known for their design, versatility and reliability. Nissan's Primastar was recently voted as the "Medium Van of Choice" at the prestigious 2008 Van Fleet World Honours, with the vehicle commended for its "attractive" style and load capacity. The company was praised for offering customers a wide range of body styles and judges noted that the Primaster is one of the most aesthetically pleasing panel vans on the market. Speaking earlier this year, John Kendall, editor of Van Fleet World, said: "Progressive development of the range since its launch, along with a broad range of body styles, payloads and load capacities have provided customers with a wide variety of choice. "Inside, drivers are well catered for, storage space is plentiful and the driving position is still one of the best. It is also good to drive with quiet engines and a fine balance of ride and handling either empty, or loaded to full gross weight." Other vans designed by Nissan include the compact Kubistar and the hugely versatile Interstar van, which is available in a choice of three lengths, heights and payloads. Nissan offers an excellent aftersales service - with peace of mind guaranteed. The company's standard warranty, which lasts for three years, or 60,000 miles, is longer than that offered by many other manufacturers and covers any "defect in materials of workmanship". Most Nissan vans are also protected by a standard three-year paint warranty and 12-year anti-corrosion cover. The manufacturer's extended warranty option offers customers an additional one or two years cover and includes a range of benefits such as mechanical and electrical breakdown cover, unlimited claims for replacement parts and labour and RAC roadside recovery. Nissan extended warranty also offers protection against air conditioning, unit failures and central-locking faults. As with the majority of warranty schemes, exclusions apply to some vehicles including taxis and mini cabs, public service vehicles and any vehicle which has been hired out by its owner. If you need to get your vehicle through its MOT, Nissan has everything covered. For a one-off payment customers can opt into the manufacturer's MOT Care scheme, which protects customers against "unexpected expense". MOT Care covers lighting equipment, steering and suspension equipment, along with the vehicle's structure and braking system. Customers are also protected against general faults including seat belt breakages and windscreen wiper failures. Despite the super-reliability of Nissan's vans, it is inevitable that sooner or later a part will need replacing, due to general wear and tear - and for any repairs, it is recommended that customers use Nissan's "Rapid Service", if you want the job to be done "expertly, economically and quickly". Nissan's Rapid Service offers fast fitting on parts such as tyres, exhausts, clutches and shock absorbers - with work carried out by trained Nissan technicians, using genuine Nissan products. As for vehicle maintenance, Nissan offers customers the option of paying monthly instalments as part of the manufacturers "Service Plan". Drivers can choose from two plans, based on their annual mileage, with the low-mileage plan providing one service per year - and the high-mileage option providing two annual services. Both service plans include the cost of inspecting and replacing numerous components, including a vehicle's spark plugs, cooling system, air filter, oil filter, screen wash and drain washer. As with many of Nissan's other packages, Service Care includes roadside assistance provided by the RAC and instalments can be arranged with most local Nissan dealers. Van owners experiencing problems with their vehicle's mobile radio and telephone equipment will find trouble-shooting information on Nissan's easy to use website, which also has details on how to locate your nearest dealer and is updated frequently with information on new products and vehicles. The site also contains information on the various finance and insurance options available to vehicle owners and guidance on packages for business owners such as Leasing and Contract Hire. In addition to its official dealers, Nissan also has an extensive network of "repairers" - who are authorised by the company to carry out mechanical work and servicing. "These organisations are part of the Nissan dealer network and are fully equipped to maintain your Nissan to the highest of standards." With such an extensive range of aftersales options available, Nissan has something to suit every vehicle owners' needs - and pocket. |
