Suffolk drivers caught out in roads sting

track© Adfero Ltd Police in Suffolk have cracked down on motorists who choose to break the speed limit, it has been reported.

According to the Suffolk Free Press, over 1,800 drivers were caught violating the law over a week-long period.

It may be that car and van drivers who pick up roads convictions compromise their van insurance policies in the process, as cover firms could see them as a risk.

Speaking on behalf of Suffolk Police's road policing unit, sergeant Steve Knight remarked that the aim of the crackdown is to improve highways safety.

"The campaign was well-publicised and there still seems to be a significant number of drivers who have failed to grasp the concept that speed kills," he said.

Meanwhile, US rap star DMX was this week arrested for speeding and reckless driving.

The musician, who starred in movie Exit Wounds, was found over the limit in Arizona.ADNFCR-679-ID-18584199-ADNFCR
